Sound Massage Level 1

This course is open to anyone who wants to learn the basics of the Peter Hess® Sound Massage including, health and wellness professionals who intend to pursue training in Sound Massage®, as well as individuals who want to help their loved ones – spouses, children, family members, pets, and friends to alleviate symptoms of stress including:

  • Tension and the accompanying aches, Insomnia
  • Trouble falling asleep
  • Pain – including joint and back pain
  • Menstrual cramps
  • IBS
  • More energy
  • and a whole lot more

The benefits you can expect are astounding! As an added benefit, every time you administer a basic sound massage, you will also benefit from the treatment — doing good for others, while doing something good for yourself.

Course Objective:

The goal of this training is to familiarize you, the participant, with the basic principles of the Peter Hess ® Sound Massage. Not only will you have the opportunity to experience the “Sound Massage” yourself, you will also receive your first instructions in sound massage applications and, as a result, you will be able to perform the “Sound Massage” for private use.

  • History of “Sound Massage”
  • Information about various types of singing bowls and mallets
  • Sound massage theory.
  • Experience the sensation of the sound in the body
  • Demonstration of the basic sound massage
  • Guided practice of the basic sound massage in pairs
  • Independent practice of the sound massage in pairs
  • Group discussions
  • Application of the “Sound Massage” — possibilities, safety and limitations.

Sound Massage Level 2

During this training module, we will build upon the basic applications of the Peter Hess ® Sound Massage.The focus of the Level I training course was on the physical body, during the Level II training course, we will move from working on the body to the bio-energetic field, also referred to as the aura that surrounds our body.

You will refine and emphasize your awareness and appreciation of this energy field. You will expand your sensitivity of our body energetics and the effect of sound frequencies and its corresponding vibrations. You will develop your focus on the “power of consciousness”, the mental focus and inner attitude which is the base — the summation and the wholeness — of our method and our actions as a Sound Massage practitioner. The seminar contents expand the resonant capabilities and enable intuitive action based on intense personal experience in individual and group situations as well as the technical and theoretical level.

Course Objective:

The curriculum incorporates the use of therapy “grade” singing bowls and gongs where the student will learn how to work in the human energy field to clean, strengthen and harmonize the subtle body, strengthening health in the holistic sense —as without, so within and vice versa.

  • The aura, the human energy field, and it’s significance in sound work.
  • Awareness and sensing of the energy field through our hands
  • Sensing of the energy field through the sound of singing bowls and gongs
  • Applications of the singing bowls and gongs in the aura, aura painting, and packing
  • Principles of grounding through sound
  • Cleansing, strengthening and harmonizing the aura with fen gongs
  • Practicing new elements with basic sound massage

Sound Massage Level 3 & 4

The purpose of this training is for the participants to acquire abilities to apply sound massage for relaxation as well as learning to match the sound massage to the clients individual needs. The participants are being familiarized with new elements of sound massage, and experience full sound massage. The curriculum includes the sound massage for relaxation as well as application of sound massage with particular sickness symptoms. Part of the course is devoted to discussing the professional approach, safety of the treatment, understanding of the role of the masseur in relationship with the client, defining the limits of the sound massage and it’s legal implications.

Setup of the sound massage practice, advertising, ethics and other business issues.

Advanced practitioner training.

  • Cleansing, harmonizing, withdrawing – work with fine energies
  • Application of new elements in partial massage.
  • Sound massage for relaxation and including sickness symptoms
  • Preparation and practice of individual massage making use of client chart
  • Chakra system, difference in Eastern and Western approach, chakra meditations, chakra massage
  • Cosmic sound bath
  • Sound guided meditation, fantasy journey
  • Limits of the sound massage, business and legal implications

Supervision Weekend

This weekend is the last step in becoming a certified Peter Hess Sound Massage Practitioner.

The Weekend will consist of 3 full days, re-exploring the Peter Hess Method and the subtleties of the less is more technique that is Peter Hess.

This supervision is open to all those that have taken Peter Hess Sound Massage I thru IV.

Course Objective:

The goal of this training is to familiarize you, the participant, with the basic principles of the Peter Hess ® Sound Massage. Not only will you have the opportunity to experience the “Sound Massage” yourself, you will also receive your first instructions in sound massage applications and, as a result, you will be able to perform the “Sound Massage” for private use.

  • Massage I thru IV.
  • Prerequisite: Peter Hess Sound Massage I thru IV
  • Hours of Study: 21
  • Lecturer: Gina Armstrong
  • After this course the participants will be able to distinguish themselves with the credentials of Certified Peter Hess ® Sound Massage Practitioner.​
